red, white, blue (52 linked)

Well... the thing is Scuba.  He is terrified of fireworks.  So we don't celebrate the 4th of July.  At all.  This year, we actually decided to get out of dodge to give him some refuge - at least for one night.  Scuba was super happy to NOT be hearing fireworks and instead be playing blissfully in Siouxon Creek.

So was his cousin Onni.

A very green Fourth of July... just the way we like it.

  3. Scuba's not the only dog that feels like that. My boyfriend's brother's staffordshire bull terrier is sooooo scared, too! Is Scuba afraid of thunderstorms, too? Benedryl doesn't work. He tried this one other medication, but that wasn't effective either. It's so sad. I believe they once replaced a kennel because they were gone for the day and there was an unexpected storm... So sad. Poor pups.

    Love these captures! :)

  4. Cute!
Yeah, my dog too, although I think she is more frightened of thunder than fireworks. Strange.
    Beautiful dogs and Creek.

  6. This was our first 4th of July at home with our dog and she was going nuts! Maybe we should adopt your philosophy.
