First, a few obvious incidentals: 1. I am late with this post. 2. This photo was taken with my iPhone using Hipstamatic. 3. This doesn't reveal a whole lot about my kitchen. But... I am here. Peaches have truly been my favorite thing about my kitchen for about the past two months. In all honesty, this is the first peach I've actually cut. There is no time for prep when it comes to eating a fresh-from-the-farmers-market peach. It goes a little something like this: Rinse. Eat (in about 30 seconds flat while standing over the sink). I'm super sad to see peach season coming to an end. I have always said that a fresh, juicy, sweet peach is a food I could seriously live on.
